KAMYAB JAWAN
Every business student desires to have its own startup that provides optimal output with minimal input of resources. Some students having relevant business ideas are unable to execute it due to huge capital requirements. Some students who have access to sufficient capital for a startup have low set of skills and ideas to survive in this competitive era.
The initiative of Government of Pakistan “Kamyab Jawan Program”, in this regard, not only facilitates youth by grants and loans but also provides counselling and mentoring to enhance their aptitude to run a business successfully.
In Kamyab Jawan Program, six different schemes are included that are described below:
1) Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES!) – the YES is designed with the contemplation of “Hunar Se Karobar tak”, where youth will be advanced from basic asset transfer to interest free loans to micro and then finally small loans. The YES will also provide fundamental expertise to run a successful business.

2) Startup Pakistan Program – The core of Startup Pakistan Program is to assist youth and educational institutes in building a basic foundation of practical understanding on entrepreneurship and its socio-economic impact. It will incubate startups through launch process and provide national & global connectivity through a single digital platform. Requirements to join this schemes are for an individual are:
- All men/women/transgender holding CNIC of Pakistan
- Aged between 21 and 45 years with entrepreneurial potential
- Undergraduate or Graduate student at Universities, Colleges, Technical Institutions and Madaris (All majors eligible).
- Willingness to be held accountable to monthly program goals, receiving and accepting feedback with the capacity to implement or act on suggestions.
Requirements to join this scheme for an institution:
- Registered Entity in Pakistan or Government Department
- International players must join through local partnerships
- Agree to the following:
- Commitment to support Startup Ecosystem
- Commitment to provide details on planned activities, startups, and engagements on an ongoing basis
- Commitment to Collaborate and Coordinate
- Commitment to provide quarterly progress reports
The Startup Pakistan program is temporarily closed. Phase-II will be announced soon.
3) Green Youth Movement (GYM) – The GYM is one of the focused initiatives of Kamyab Jawan Program aimed to offer small grants to lead eco-innovative solutions for tackling problems of Solid and liquid waste management, water conservation, renewable energy, agriculture and forestry, and eco-tourism. The network of GYM club will mentor the youth eco-innovators and market their products both nationally and globally. (This program will be launched soon)
4) Hunarmand Pakistan Program – The program to be launched is aimed to facilitate youth in their respective fields through its 14 TVETs (Technical Vocational & Educational Trainings). These TVETs include trainings in high-tech/end technologies, skill development for less developed areas, national employment exchange, smart tech labs for distance learning, incubation centers, establishing national accreditation council, accreditation of 2,000 TVET institutes, labs/workshops in madarsa(s), master training of TVET teachers, development of 200 TVET qualifications, apprenticeship training, Intl. accreditation and joint degree programs, 10 country specific facilitation centers, and recognition of prior learning of youth .

5) National Internship Program – Following initiative of the government is aimed at improving and enhancing the employability of educated youth. This platform will eventually establish visible connection between qualification and workplace requirements and also channelize the energy of the educated youth in the right direction. 6) Jawan Markaz Initiative – This platform is for engaging, counselling and mentoring youth both through physical and digital sources. It offers access to facilities like sports, social engagements, career counselling and mentoring. (The program will launch soon)
This comprehensive program is launched to provide an ample of opportunities to utilize youth’s entrepreneurial potential to the fullest.
